My partner and I are hoping to raise $400,000 to finally buy a modest home and property of our own here in southern Oregon.

We’re not looking for anything extravagant — just a small, livable house on 1 to 5 acres of land where we can grow roots, build our future, and finally have a sense of peace and security.

Right now, we live in a small studio apartment. The rent doesn’t go up, which we’re thankful for, but the space is tight, limiting, and doesn’t feel like a real home. We can’t grow, create, or truly relax here — it’s just existing, not living.

Owning a home would mean safety, independence, and stability. A place that’s truly ours — where we can care for our cat, make improvements without asking permission, and finally feel at peace knowing we have a stable foundation under our feet.

The goal of $400,000 would cover:

• $350,000 for the home and land
• $50,000 for closing costs, property taxes, and essential expenses while we get settled

We know it’s a big number, but every bit of support — whether it’s a donation or a simple share — brings us closer to building a stable, lasting home of our own.
