Help Support Myles
My name is Dana and a very dear child in my life needs your help. Myles is the son of our former in-home daycare and we have grown to love him like our own. About a month ago, Myles was diagnosed with a very severe aplastic anemia. This is a very serious and rare disease. He has already undergone 6 platelet transfusions and one red blood cell transfusion so far to keep him alive. Next week, Myle's parents Danielle and Nick need to make a choice on treatment. If he is positive for cytomegalovirus (CMV) they will have to choose immunosuppression therapy. If he is negative they can go straight to a bone marrow transplant where he will undergo 1 week of chemotherapy before the transplant can occur. He will not be able to finish the school year (1st grade) and possibly all of next year as well, leaving home school the only option. Hospital stay will be a minimum of 3 weeks and possibly up to 3 months. There is a risk for both treatments, with the worse case scenario being fatal. His mother, Danielle, will be with him during all of this, so, therefore will not be able to work. Their loss of income is extremely rough and so far are managing but would be so appreciative to all the help they can get. If you can donate any amount of money, her and her family would be ever so grateful. The cash they receive will help with gas to and from treatment, bills, mortgage, and medical bills. They would also appreciate gift cards to Walmart or Woodman's. Cards or letters can be sent to Myles Franzke at 923 W Commercial St. Appleton, WI 54911. Thank you all so much! If you are unable to send anything, prayers are always welcome.
