Help the Dodson Family

This year has been extremely hard for our family, A massive pay cut of $10k was made to our income, I am not allowed to mention who made the cut, nor are they allowed to, so I am doing this instead.

We have had serious financial problems since cuts have been made, I myself have had severe Crohn's disease, RA, and MSD since I was young, I have been turned down for SSI, can't get a job due to lack of work history from being out many years while sick.

My partner, Michelle, has had to carry us, now has to work two jobs, and has taken a serious pay cut, on top of it she had a serious kidney infection that almost killed her which caused her to spend several days in the hospital, and everyone knows how high the cost is. She's been written out of work, she couldn't afford a single day off either job to just barely keep us afloat, and now we are sinking. A couple of days ago her work car broke down, which she drives daily for her job, it's essential, without it there's no job, we can not afford to have it towed or fixed, and we are on the edge of losing what has taken over eight years to build.

We have a ten-year-old son who is so smart, but we have never been able to afford to send him to the advanced school he should be in, he is in his school's AIG (Advanced and Intellectually Gifted) classes, and we don't know what is going to happen to him if we fall apart financially, hopefully he will be fine.

I have never asked for money like this, I feel like I am begging, and maybe I am, We need help and we need it immediately. I don't know where else to turn so I have chosen this. If I can get enough to keep us afloat I can get back to work. A recent diet change has changed my life and I am more mobile and able than I have been in ten years, I can't afford a car, insurance, gas to get to a job, nothing. I have hundreds of applications in and can not get hired because I was a stay-at-home dad physically incapable of holding down a job due to my medical conditions. My job turndowns are due to lack of work history, yet I have a resume of skills and previous work before I became disabled that I should be able to get something, a job at a pizza shop, gas station, something, but nothing. This year, Michelle had to have dental surgery, and with that, our diet changed. I cut sugar and carbohydrates from my diet and even though I still have some deformities with my bones and joints, I feel like a new human, I am capable of doing things I never dreamed I'd do again. I can cut a pancake with a fork with one hand, I can walk without a limp, I can not only jog, but I can run. I am able to get back to work, go beat on doors until someone hires me.

Michelle is literally killing herself, she couldn't afford to take time off and almost killed herself for it. I can't stand by and watch Michelle fall apart worrying, crying daily wondering how we are going to make it. We need help and this is all I can think of, I've tried so many ways that have produced very little to nothing and I am simply asking for the kindness of others to help us get through this so we can get back on our feet, the struggle has lasted a good year, but the recent medical problem is going to sink us.

I want to thank anyone who helped in advance, I don't know how to repay any of you, I feel so pathetic as if I am begging, I've run out of options and this is what I am trying, any amount can go a long way, to at least get the car fixed so Michelle can get back to work, and so I can get to work as well. Michelle has worked her fingers to the bone and is tired, It's taken its toll on both of us mentally, emotionally, and physically, stressing us until we are almost broken. We do not want our son to see us that way, he deserves better.

Ten thousand simply covers the pay cut, We're playing catch up now, and $15k would probably do it, it's only a fraction of what the medical bills are costing, but this will help keep us afloat until we can make things better for ourselves.

Any little bit will help. Thank you so much.
