My name is Timothea, and on July 12, 2026, my life changed in an instant.

While driving in the rain, I swerved to avoid an animal, lost control of my car, and hit a tree head-on at about 45 mph. I was rushed to the hospital, spent four days in the ICU, and underwent emergency surgery the night of the accident.

My pelvis was broken in three places, and the injuries were so severe that my leg was no longer properly attached to my body. I also suffered seven broken ribs. Doctors told me I am a walking miracle and that many people do not survive injuries this serious.

I now face a long and painful recovery. I am working to regain my strength and relearn how to walk, but doctors say it may take three to six months before I can walk independently again.

Along with the physical pain, I am facing a financial crisis. I have about $125,000 in medical bills, my rent is past due, and I am terrified of losing my home while I am unable to work. My car was how I earned money to survive, but it was destroyed in the crash. My insurance had also been canceled shortly before the accident, leaving me without coverage, transportation, savings, or a safety net.

Before this accident, I struggled with addiction for 15 years. Since the accident, I have been sober and committed to changing my life. I have been reconnecting with my children and talking with them every day. After missing so much of their lives, being present for them means everything to me.

I am asking for help with rent, food, medical bills, transportation, and basic necessities while I recover. Every donation—no matter the amount—will help me remain safely housed, protect my sobriety, focus on healing, and continue rebuilding my relationship with my children.
