My twin boys were diagnosed with autism last year at 2 years old. This has been scary and challenging for our family of 5. Both boys wander off/ run out in the street when outside. This is very dangerous so they only play indoors. Autism wandering can occur regardless of the level of adult supervision. It takes only moments for a child to move beyond their safe environment. Autistic childrens' need to be safe and protected. We need our yard fenced in to protect and create safe space. We hope to get help with fencing for our yard so that we can rest easy knowing our children are safe when outdoors.
