We don't need easy we just are hoping for POSSIBLE....

Help A Good Man Get Life-Saving Heart Surgery & Help Us Both Recover---

Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,

I am reaching out today because we are facing a mountain we cannot climb alone.

My name is Gabriella, and my boyfriend of 5 years, Duane (62), urgently needs a triple bypass surgery to save his life.

However, Duane (stubborn and kind hearted as he is) is currently refusing to have the surgery because he is terrified of leaving us with no way to survive financially while he recovers. He is still working every day, putting his life in even more danger doing manual labor that is extremely physically demanding. Nothing I say can persuade him because I physically cannot go out and earn the amount of money it will take to keep us from losing our home, etc.

Our world was already turned upside down recently when I was the victim of a violent attack. The assault left me unconscious for 5 days, followed by four and a half weeks (so far) of painful recovery from my injuries. I am just barely getting back on my feet, but during this time, I completely lost my income.

Right now, we are drowning in everyday bills, rent, and basic living expenses. We're struggling just to keep enough food in the fridge on a day to day basis.

Duane wants to put his own life at risk to keep working because he refuses to let us lose our home, have the electricity shut off, or go without food for us and our dogs. He needs this surgery to live, but he won’t do it without a financial cushion to keep us safe. My efforts to sock away that cushion for us ended suddenly and... Not well. 

I'm not well versed in the current technological standards and I've only learned the term recently-- but it seems I'm without a "social media presence" so I've been told my efforts to fundraise like this online would likely prove fruitless. But I've got to try something new because what I've been doing sure hasn't been working. So here goes... Placing my hope in the kindness of strangers..

How you can help:

We are trying to raise approximately $5,000 to create a 3-to-4-month emergency safety net to live while he recovers. Every single dollar raised will go directly toward:

• Keeping our rent paid so we don't lose our home.
• Keeping the electricity on and utilities paid.
• Putting food in the fridge and keeping our dogs fed.
• Covering basic bills while Duane recovers from surgery and I fully regain my strength so we can both return to work.
