Supporting Shaine, Wrenley, and Our Family Through Another Fight

My wife, Shaine, and I have been together for three years, and during that time life has tested our family in ways we never could have imagined. Together, we are raising our beautiful daughter, Wrenley, who has already endured more medical challenges, surgeries, and hospital visits than any child should ever have to face. Soon, she will need another surgery.

As we prepare for that challenge, we have also been hit with devastating news: Shaine’s leukemia has returned.

She is currently undergoing intensive chemotherapy treatments five days a week. In the coming months, she will face a stem cell transplant that will require even harsher chemotherapy, a lengthy hospital stay, and a period of isolation while her immune system recovers. It will be one of the hardest battles she has ever faced.

Despite everything, Shaine continues to push through the exhaustion and sickness to work a few hours when she is able. Once the transplant process begins, however, she will no longer be able to work at all.

I am doing everything I can to provide for our family while balancing work, caring for my wife, supporting our daughter through her medical needs, and trying to keep our household moving forward. Like many families facing serious illness, we are discovering that the emotional burden is only part of the struggle. The financial strain from medical expenses, travel, childcare, household bills, and everyday necessities continues to grow.

Anyone who knows us knows that life has knocked us down more times than we can count, but we have never stopped getting back up. We remain hopeful, determined, and committed to fighting through this together.
