Help Us Keep Our Home

After the sudden horrible loss of my father around Christmas where I had to make the decision to end all life preserving care, I was responsible for all after math processes and had to go back and forth from my home in Minneapolis and Paducah Kentucky totaling almost 2 months. After indefinitely being back in the cities I then was slingshot into navigating the legal custody situation of my daughter after the hard choice of separating from her father. I chose to take on keeping the house we co-own but soon realized grief paralyzed me to the core and very suddenly was unable to work; let alone leave the house and even go out into my own backyard very often. Depression, anxiety, and grief combined caused a catastrophic effect on my wellbeing, causing me to consider taking my own life. I was unable to keep up on even keeping an adequate amount of food in my fridge, and was denied for SNAP. On top of it all I found out I was pregnant and quickly after had a “missed miscarriage” that I did not realize until I had already been almost a month into being bedridden from the toll it took on my body. Soon after finally recovering and regaining strength I was notified only my mail that my ex; the co-owner of the house had filed for/had been approved for chapter 7 bankruptcy and had not ran it by me beforehand. Everything erupted yet again in my eyes and the stress paralysis returned and unfortunately I did not reach out directly to my mortgage company in time either to follow up on my mortgage assistance application I submitted months before or even more recently. I finally got the letter I was dreading that stated on September 29 there will be a court hearing that I have to attend to determine whether or not my daughter and I will be stripped of our home from foreclosure if I cannot pay off or at least try to while proving I have a forgivable case for an extension on the past due amount. This home is basically all I have left to cling onto, it was the home I brought my daughter to after she was born. I can’t stand the thought of no longer existing in this space or losing the backyard she and our dog play in. If you or anyone you know can help, you have no idea how grateful I’ll be and payback can be arranged once my life stabilizes more and I can finally feel good enough to start over with my work life.
