Help Us Lay Terry to Rest — Honoring a Life That Mattered

Our family is heartbroken as we try to process the sudden and tragic loss of Terrance “Terry” Wallette.

Terry was more than the headlines or the worst moment of his life. He was a father, a son, a cousin—and someone who was working to rebuild his life. He had been in recovery, trying to do better, trying to grow, and trying to become the man his family knew he could be.

Like so many, Terry faced struggles, but he also carried love, connection, and a desire for something more. He mattered to us in ways that words can’t fully explain.

Now our family is left grieving not only the loss of who he was, but the future he was still working toward.

In the middle of this heartbreak, we are also facing the unexpected financial burden of laying Terry to rest. We were informed that the state will not be assisting with any memorial or funeral expenses, leaving our family to carry this alone.

We are asking for help so we can give Terry a proper goodbye—one filled with dignity, love, and respect. Everyone deserves to be remembered for more than their hardest moments.
