Hi friends! So last month my husband and I thought we finally found a perfect house to rent so we can move out of the in-laws home with our 3 kids! Nothing big or fancy but separate, private. A little 3 bedroom house for rent. $1500/m. Too good to be true? You guessed it! I contacted the website and filled out an application which to my great surprise we got approved for! Me, not having experience with all the rental process stuff was too excited to stop and think about possible scammers and all that. Well I went and paid first and last months rent plus a deposit before signing the contract to what turned out to be a house that was never really being rented out! I filed all of the necessary police reports and all of that but they said not to expect to get our money back anyway because scammers move money really fast and it's long gone. So now we're $4500 down, and have a 3 week deadline to move out. Please help us at least put a dent into our deposit and into a new home.
