Help Us Rebuild Home,

We are asking for help rebuilding our home after it was stripped of nearly everything that made it safe, functional, and accessible.

This was not simply a theft of belongings. The essential systems that provided our home with water and power were taken, and the wheelchair-accessible features that made the home usable were torn out. We are now facing the enormous task of rebuilding what was lost before we can safely live in our home again.

Our Water and Power Systems Were Taken

The plumbing was removed from the house. Our entire solar power system was taken, including the solar panels and generator.

Our 21,000-liter water tank and well pump were also stolen.

Without these systems, the house has been left without the basic infrastructure needed for running water and reliable power. Restoring them is one of our most urgent priorities.

Our Wheelchair Accessibility Was Destroyed

Our home was specifically designed to accommodate someone who uses a wheelchair.

The kitchen counters were built at a lower, accessible height so they could be comfortably and safely used from a wheelchair. Outside, ramps provided essential access into and out of the home.

Those ramps were torn out.

Losing them means our home is no longer accessible in the way it was carefully designed to be. Rebuilding the ramps and restoring the home's accessibility are not cosmetic improvements—they are necessities.

Lighting, Fixtures, and Personal Belongings Were Taken

All of the light fixtures were removed from the house, leaving the rooms without their lighting.

Many smaller household and personal belongings were taken as well, including clothing, fireplace fans, a stove plate, and a water kettle.

Individually, some of these items may not sound significant. But when they are added to the loss of the plumbing, water system, solar equipment, generator, lighting, and accessibility features, the scale of what needs to be replaced becomes overwhelming.

What Your Donations Will Help Restore

Funds raised will go toward the work and equipment necessary to make our home safe, functional, and accessible again, including:

  • Replacing the stolen plumbing
  • Restoring the well and water system
  • Replacing the 21,000-liter water tank
  • Replacing the solar panels and power equipment
  • Replacing the generator
  • Reinstalling lighting and electrical fixtures
  • Rebuilding the wheelchair-accessible ramps
  • Restoring other essential accessibility features
  • Replacing necessary household items that were taken

We are doing everything we can ourselves, but the cost of rebuilding so many essential systems at once is more than we can manage on our own.

We aren't asking to replace luxuries. We are asking for help restoring the basics: water, power, lighting, accessibility, and a safe place to call home.

Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to being able to live safely in our home again.

If you aren't able to donate, sharing this fundraiser with your family, friends, neighbors, and community can help tremendously. Every share gives our story a chance to reach someone who may be able to help.

It is difficult to describe what it feels like to see a home that was built and adapted for our needs stripped of the very things that made it livable. But we are determined to rebuild.

Piece by piece, system by system, we hope to make our home a home again.

Thank you for reading our story, for sharing it, and for helping in whatever way you can. Your kindness, generosity, and support mean more to us than we can express.
