Help us Save our Home

Hi, we are asking for help to solarize our home. It is ALL electric, electric heating, electric cooking, electric washer and dryer, all electric. And try as hard as we do, we just never seem to be able to get caught up. We've given up on a Christmas decorations even putting lights on our Christmas tree, our bill just seems to be unforgiving. Currently owe Pacific power over $2,500 in arrears. We are wanting to convert the home to solar energy which they say will be 15,000 to $18,000 thousand dollars.

My husband and I are both disabled seniors living on a small fixed limited income. My husband sleeps with a CPAP machine each night, without electricity he could possibly died in his sleep. Each year we humble ourselves to beg for help through access and St. Vincent de Paul who generously give. but without more help we are afraid of losing our home over our electric bill situation. Because of the amount we owe the electric company we've had to get notes from his doctor so they won't shut our electric off. I'm a diabetic and have paid for electric bill with the money I should be getting my medication with, even my animals have done without their shots so that we can pay the electric bill. We just don't see no other way out of this hole without some help. And as kind as Pacific power can be they're constantly reminding us that we are continually getting deeper and deeper in debt. And I find myself each month crying over our power bill. We're not bad people yet we are made to feel like we are just because we can't pay this bill. Having the bill paid would only be like putting a Band-Aid on the situation, we're trying to find a solution so we don't have to continue to live in fear of losing our home someday. Our home is a two bedroom 1,400 square foot dwelling in midtown where we feel safe and would like to live out the rest of our lives. We're asking no more than it takes to pay for solar energy. Anything that you may be able to contribute would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much for reading this. God bless you.
