We caught Ernie’s mom!! The humane society is working her in Friday morning (in literally 12 hours) and it is $100 for her spay. Any money over $100 will be strictly used to spay, neuter, and care for more feral cats so they’re not roadkill, bird murderers, or otherwise anything other than luxurious pets or mousers. Got a couple bucks?

*This was originally for (and will continue to be used for) our local cats. I’m fostering through the humane society but they don’t do TNR so I’m handling that myself but still working through them for consistency and accessibility. Eventually funds will be setup for direct donations to the humane society. They cover the medical costs and food of the cats I foster until they’re adopted.

We have so many feral cats here in Taneytown and to some extent it works— particularly when it comes to catching rodents. But once someone or someone’s pet gets hurt, or they’re eliminating on your porch, or roadkill etc. it isn’t awesome. Let’s Trap, Neuter, and Release some of these cats around here. If they’re able to be adopted, they can be— if the Carroll County Humane Society can adopt them out. Otherwise they can come back here sterile without expanding the issue. Surgery cost ($100) bucks includes rabies shots too!

So if you can donate just $5, we can crowd fund this. I’ll come help trap one if you need it. If we can catch five cats this year, that could make a big difference! Any funds remaining on December 31, 2025 will be donated to the Carroll County Humane Society.
