Help with a peaceful goodbye

Hello
My name is Martha and I have a sixteen year old dog named Jackie O. She has been my loving companion since she was three months old.

I am seeing her quality of life fading, and in recent weeks she has been declining more and more. She has lost her hearing, most of her eyesight, and has a condition called "senile mental deterioration."
She has been having seizures for about a year now. I believe they terrify her because she cries out, as if in pain. The seizures leave her lethargic and confused.

I'm having a hard time letting Jackie O go. I don't want to be selfish, but I feel in some ways I am by not putting her down. I have done a lot of research on euthanization and cremation costs, and the prices are more than I can afford. I have started putting money aside to do this, but at present I am not able to come up with the entire amount for both procedures. She should be in a safe and calm environment when she passes, surrounded by the people she loves and trusts.
She has been there for me over the years in so many ways and I want to be there for her too. It breaks my heart that if I don't do this soon it only prolongs her suffering.
I am setting up a fund raiser to help with the euthanization and cremation costs. Will you please help me today by making a donation for my cause. Any amount you can give would make a difference. My goal and my final gift to Jackie O is to put her in a better place where she will be at peace.
Thank you.
Martha
