My name is Terry, and I’m reaching out because the past year has been incredibly hard.

I was unemployed for nine months, and during that time, I fell behind on bills just trying to make it day by day. I finally found part-time work, which I’m so grateful for, but I’m still struggling to catch up on rent, utilities, and other living expenses.

To make things even harder, my car was totaled, and I’m now trying to pay off what’s left on it while figuring out how to get another one so I can keep getting to work. It’s been one setback after another, but I’m doing everything I can to keep moving forward.

This fundraiser will go toward:

• Rent and utilities so I don’t fall further behind
• Paying off my totaled car
• Saving for a reliable replacement vehicle so I can get to and from work
• Basic living expenses while I continue building my hours and looking for full-time work

It’s not easy for me to ask for help — I’ve always tried to be the one helping others — but right now I really need a hand to get through this. Any amount, no matter how small, would make a huge difference and mean more than I can say.
