Help with legal fees
Hi everyone. I am here today to try to raise money for my family during this difficult time. Starting in July, my husband filed for a change in custody to get full custody of his daughter. We did this based on child welfare concerns within her home at her mother's. The other party is trying to make it so he doesn't get custody at all. But for the child's well being, it is crucial that she is in a loving and positive home, which my husband and myself can provide.
Through this all, we have been met with several court dates, interviews with Child Protective Services, and lawyers. All of this results in time off of work for both my husband and myself. The endless court battles, the court fees, the lawyer fees, and the time off of work for both of us has put is in a financial situation. This has been the most expensive obstacle we have had to face, and we can no longer do it alone.
I am asking each and every one of you to please help us in any way you can financially. I am setting our goal to be $1500 to help supplement the court and lawyer fees for the time being while we maintain our monthly bills at home, but ideally and realistically, we probably need $3000 or more. I know money is tight for everyone, but anything that you can do will help tremendously and will be forever appreciated. And even if you cannot donate, please pass this along to other friends and family to get the word out. The more people that see this, the better the chance is for us to reach our goal.
Please help us in this battle to gain full custody of his daughter so that we can provide her with a loving, caring, and above all, a safe home for her where she will continue to grow with the love and support of my husband and myself. Every child deserves a safe and loving home with two parents that love them very much.
The picture is an old one due to the mother not allowing him to see his daughter nor have any contact with her.
