Happy Spring Festival!

We don't know if this is your first time enjoying Spring Festival overseas. However, this is Wuhan's first Spring Festival spent with a city closed.

For half a month, the Corona Virus in mainland China has deeply striked our hearts. By 16:00 on January 28th, according to the Tencent News "Real-time Tracking of New Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic Situation", there were 4,675 confirmed diagnoses and 6,973 suspected cases. During the fight against the Virus in China, medical systems in various parts of the country, mainly in Wuhan, have experienced shortages of medical resources and other issues, which seriously affect the medical treatment process. At this difficult time, we overseas students volunteered to be supporters of the frontline medical fighters in the motherland, purchasing scarce resources for medical staff. Therefore, the North American visiting students of East China Normal University initiated this donation and called for Chinese students in North America to act as individuals or organizations to support this battle!

We have been in touch with Hospitals Wuhan, and the donations collected will be used for the procurement and transportation of medical equipment in short supply in China. Use third-party platform for fundraising, the fundraising amount is open and transparent, we will update the purchase information and details of materials, and ensure that donated materials are distributed to frontline medical staff. We also welcome domestic hospitals with shortage of medical supplies to contact us, we will try our best!

We especially look forward to waking up one day and seeing that the Virus has been overcome. We believe that as long as we work together, we can go to Wuhan when the cherry blossoms in this spring!

亲爱的同学们：

大家春节好！

不知道这是你第几个只身海外的春节，但是，这是武汉第一个在封城中度过的春节。

半个月以来，祖国大陆的疫情牵动着我们的心。截止东岸时间1月28日16:00，根据腾讯新闻“新型冠状病毒肺炎疫情实时追踪”显示，全国确诊人数4675人，疑似病例6973人。国内在抗击病毒过程中，以武汉为主的全国各地医疗系统相继出现医疗资源紧缺等问题，严重影响医疗救治进程。

在全国齐心抗击病毒的艰难时刻，我们海外留学生志愿作为祖国一线医疗战士的后方，为医务人员在海外采购紧缺资源。为此，华东师范大学北美访学团发起这次捐助，并号召北美留学生、访学生以个人或组织的名义行动起来，支持这场战役！

武汉医院已完成对接，所募集捐款将全额用于国内紧缺医疗器械的采购和运输。采用第三方平台筹款，筹款金额公开透明，更新物资购买信息和明细，确保捐款物资发放给一线医务人员。也欢迎国内有医疗物资紧缺情况的医院与我们联系，我们将尽力而为。

特别期待，某天醒来看到疫情被攻克了。相信只要我们携手并肩，一定可以在樱花盛开时去往荆州城！
