My name is Yemi. I am a herbalist, ordained minister, and community healer, and I'm also a cat mom to two sweet souls named Ash and Max. I've just been approved for safe, stable housing after navigating some difficult circumstances and I need a little help closing the final gap for my new apartment. We’re currently housed with a relative and it’s a bit crowded here.

The Situation: Security deposit secured ($1,200 paid). Apartment reserved in a tax-credit affordable complex. Remaining balance needed to move in: $831 for first month's prorated rent. I did not expect to pay a security deposit that huge and it ate up my first month rent savings.

Why This Matters: This opportunity comes at a critical time. I am on a fixed income (SSDI), recovering from physical injuries, and this apartment represents a chance to live in a healthy environment that supports my long-term healing. I have until July 7th, to pay this first month’s rent and with that, my path forward.
