Zarah was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer at the end of October, 2016. Since then, it has been a whirlwind of doctor's appointments, tests, chemotherapy, hospitalizations and surgery. Zarah is staying very hopefully, upbeat and positive during this very stressful journey. One of the most difficult things for Zarah is putting herself first; she believes very strongly in family, often coming to the aid of those in need without hesitation. Now, it is time for her to allow others to help her and that help and support may look different for each person. One of the main areas of support needed is regarding the financial burden of all the medical appointments, tests and procedures. Zarah was working and loved her job, but due to this diagnosis she has had to stop working, which has added another layer to the financial difficult of the family. Zarah's husband, Joe, is working very hard to provide for the family but they do need help.
