Hello, my name is Theo, and I had the pleasure of working with my good friend Kurt Anderson. These last few months have been devastating to Kurt. I am asking if you can please find it in your heart and pocketbook to help my good friend Kurt Anderson. Kurt's medical bills are numerous.

Kurt is a 60-year-old widower. The past 3 years have been devastating for him. In June 2020, Kurts' wife of 25 years died very suddenly and unexpectedly from a ruptured intestine. 3 months later, due to complications from a progressive neuromuscular degenerative disease (CMT Type 2A) he had his right foot partially amputated and spent months out of work. In October of that year, Kurts' father passed away. For the next 3 years, he dealt with numerous hospitalizations-primarily with his feet and infection. He has also been diagnosed with Heart A-fibrillation. Doctors believe this is a result of Broken Heart Disorder. You can understand why!

This past Father's Day weekend Kurt was hospitalized with yet another foot infection-this time on his left or “good “foot. Doctors treated him for 5 days and then sent him home on oral antibiotics. 3 days later he was back in the hospital for the same issue. He received treatment again and was released. A few days later he was back again and went through another round of IV antibiotic treatments and was then released. A week later the infection was back and raging. 

This time he went to a different hospital with different doctors. MRI scans came back, and he received devastating news-osteomyelitis (infection of the bone) had developed in his big toe and 2nd toe. This diagnosis was missed 3 times at other hospitals' radiology dept!

Doctors immediately operated on his foot-debriding dead tissue from affected areas and amputating the infected bones. He now will have 6 weeks of IV antibiotics at home. He hasn't worked in nearly 2 months and his savings are depleted just from everyday bills and expenses. He hasn't even begun to face the onslaught of medical bills that will soon come. He needs help. He isn't one to ask for assistance and wouldn't want to burden anybody with his problems. 

Pleading for any help with the medical bills until he can heal and return to work.
