As many of you know, Bob Pace has been diagnosed with ALS. He can no longer speak and has ordered a device called a Tobii Dynavox which will help him continue to communicate. The machine will generate speech from words Bob types in. Insurance will cover the bulk of the expense, but Bob will be left with a $1400 co-pay, which is a lot, especially on top of all his other medical expenses.
