This fundraiser is for Megan, her husband Jared and their two wonderful children. 

If you're lucky enough to know Megan and her family then you're aware of the fact they light up a room before even entering. Smiles for miles, crazy uncontrollable laughter, and love... oh the love!

For these reasons, and many others, I have created this platform in hopes of helping some truly amazing and deserving people.

Megan has been in and out of hospitals. Bounced from unwilling professional to unwilling professional. More than 10 different diagnoses with treatments more risky than the next. Many times the life saving treatments have not been covered by their insurance and left price tags of $6,000+. Megan at one point recieved a life saving operation for an infection that was finally found. Surgery was the only option to stop the infection from spreading. After the operation the insurance company denied the payment for the surgery. Since then Megan has fought fiercely to appeal their decions but that was recently denied as well. 

Megan is still receiving new diagnoses each week for other underlying issues. She experiences chest and shoulder pain, breathlessness, anxiety, etc. Between the unwillingness to test, the lack of a finalized diagnosis, and non-existent quality care it's easy to throw your hands up and quit. Not Megan. She is one of the strongest people I know and through her pain and suffering she still takes the time to recognize others' misfortune. 

With insurance companies covering less and less and the rising price of care, many people are hung out to dry. We all need help at some point. We have to look out for one another, push forward with love in our hearts and firery determination in our souls. It takes a village.
