In recovery we share our experience, strength and hope with others. This is not only to help them understand that they are not alone and to help those listening to relate, but it helps those who are sharing to stay recovered. I was actually skeptical of this at first. I mean how is listening to my story going to help someone? And how is telling my business and giving people dirt on myself going to help me in the long run? Come to find out whenever you had been in the drug and alcohol game as long as I had, no matter how secretive I thought I had been, everyone knew everything about me already. I was a terrible person. "A menace to society" I was told. An absent mother (which I swore I would never be) a bother to everyone, including myself. I prayed for death daily. Surely nobody would miss a worthless addict such as myself. Death didn't come, however another trip to jail, to court and then off to treatment I went. I thought I was in Hell! I thought I had been sent to a cult! I had never seen anything like this! But I kept hearing "stick around until the miracle happens".. The Good Lord sure took his time on this.. but that was totally fine.. I needed to be humbled.. I worked the program, I completed and even stayed 6 months longer and completed Phase 2. I thought I had been through the toughest parts of my recovery already.. That was not the case. We had tragedy strike in our family around 7 months after I came back home from treatment. It was by far the realist, most heartbreaking, unfathomable event of our lives. At times I still feel as though I am living in a dream. If you know me then you know what I am talking about. I'm not going to talk about it on here. I have still managed to remain sober throughout thos ordeal by the grace of God.. and since this has happened I have been convicted by the Lord to tell my story to as many people as possible. I must try and help others to keep from making the same mistakes as me. My goal is to travel to as many recovery centers as far as possible and give my testimony/lead to whomever I can. HELP ME TELL THEM ABOUT HOW JESUS SAVED MY LIFE, AND MY SOUL ✝️💕💕✝️🙏🙏✝️
