High Risk Twins
Hello Community! ❤️
Thanks for stopping by to read my story. I won’t take up much of your time.
My name is Mel, and I am more than halfway through a high risk pregnancy with twins. My pregnancy was considered high risk originally because my twins are mono-di, so they are at risk for developing at different rates and taking nutrients from each other.(Thankfully so far they are doing great in this aspect!)
Recently I also found out 2 conditions that we ARE currently facing. One happens in only 0.04% of pregnancies and the other in 6% of twin pregnancies. The conditions are vasa previa and Velamentous Cord Insertion. These things are usually fine if caught early, but I have to be very careful.
I was told that I may have to be in the hospital starting at 32 weeks for them to make sure I don’t start to give birth (that could have deadly effects).
I will have to have a c section with all of this going on and I’m not sure if my job will be giving me maternity leave, paid or not, I have been waiting for a reply.
All of this may become expensive between medical bills, the amount of work I will have to miss, as well as the fact that I desperately need to buy a larger and much safer vehicle soon to transport my twins.
Any amount would be helpful, and extremely appreciated.
If you can’t give, if you could share my story to anyone else that you know that may want to contribute, that would be amazing and so sweet of you. 🥰
Thank you for your time everyone. ❤️
