Hello my name is Misty,

Im a almost 52 year old disabled single woman. I don't have any family that is living that can help me and I lost my house to a fire in 2021.

Due two inflation, my insurance money did not go far enough to buy a house straight out. So I opted to buy a fifth wheel and save my money to buy a tiny home. In the meantime , I filed for my disability because I have lupus, Fibromyalgia spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease. Which has caused me to have to have a 360° spinal fusion on L4, L5, S1 in September 2024.

I was able to buy my tiny home in July 2025 and start building it out in October.

I have the electrical done, and the water to the building. I still need to do the plumbing & all of the sheet rock, the flooring and the ceiling. I also still need to put in my shower.

I was approved for my disability in 2024. I have been able to build little by little. But being on a fixed income it is hard to come up with the finances to finish my home.

Living in this fifth will has been good other than staying cool or staying warm. The temperature control is hard to handle. With me having lupus, I have to have temperature regulation.

So it is very important that I get into my tiny home as soon as possible. With the summer coming in and temperatures climbing, it's hard to keep this camper cool. It stays 90° in here, even with the ac running.

I am building this myself as well, and Im proud that I can do that. Its just the financial part that has be so hard to get at this point.
