Homeless and needing Help

Hello, my name is Ashley. I really hate to have to do this but I have been in a very bad way for quite some time now. Im 39, have 3 beautiful children. I am going to try and make this as short and simple as possible and be completely honest as well. About 4 years ago now my partner and father of my children was a recovering addict. He died the weekend before Thanksgiving that year. Was one of the biggest hurdles I have ever come upon. I myself was then thrown into a relapse and struggled terribly and lived on the street or with people that were toxic to myself and sobriety. About a year later a very good friend took me off the street and we moved to Milwaukee. We were happy. He actually proposed to me. We stayed in a beautiful hotel to celebrate and had an amazing time. on our last night there he ran back to the house to feed the pets. While he was gone I napped. I had woken up to find he still was not back. I called, texted and called friends. Nothing. So I took a can back home myself to see what was going on and sadly, he never made it out of the car. He was still in the drivers seat and deceased of a cardiac arrest. I couldn't believe it and went back to old habits just wanting to forget and ease my pain. I then relapsed and was put on life support and thank the Lord above, I pulled through. Now, I am on the path to recovery and involved with community programs, applying for disability for severe PTSD, clinical depression, manic depression and panic/anxiety disorder. I have enrolled myself back in school but unfortunately locked out at this time due to past due tuition. My oldest daughter, though I am so proud of her has sadly taken on the roll as a mother and does everything she can to help me. Rides, appointment, food and all the times I have made bad decisions and went to jail, she was right there for every visit, money to use the phone and get snacks while there. It is not fair to her. I am now yet homeless with no money to get shelter or continue my schooling and am getting worried and very discouraged. My support team can only help me so much and I was able to get a voucher for a hotel for just 2 nights. I am unable to find a place to lie my head let lone get any Christmas gifts for my children. I want nothing more than to be the mother my kids deserve, continue to focus on my sobriety as well as continue my schooling and have a place to lie my head and call home again and of course I would love to have a Christmas with my kids again and continue to do well and make them proud. I want to be able to take back the role as a mother and a functioning individual in society. After I am stable again my plan is to start a peer support group for those who struggle with addiction as well as those that have a loved one at home struggling with addiction and may not understand it. I am kindly asking you during this holiday season to please find it in your hearts to support me on my journey to recovery, help me find a place to call home again, get back into my schooling and if at all possible be able to have a Christmas with my kids. Thank you everyone for taking the time and consideration to read my plea for help and my most sincere appreciation in advance for anything you are able to help us with. And Happy Holidays
