Thank you for considering helping out. My sister, Rachelle Meyer, pictured here with some of her students, is a talented dance and art instructor who, through no fault of her own, is struggling through some very tough times.

Rachelle is a kind, large-hearted person who will go out of her way to help others. She feels strongly that every child should have the opportunity to explore their talents, so she generously offers special pricing to students with limited financial means.

Recently, however, due to health problems, she has had to reduce her class load. She did this reluctantly, but it was necessary. I have personally seen her many times, cheerfully helping her students, focusing totally on them and giving all she had, even though I knew she was in a lot of pain. She never let it show until after class, when all of the students had gone. My heart went out to her so much. But there was never anything I could do, except to pray for her.

Despite a valiant fight to stay afloat, Rachelle's financial situation has caught up with her and she and her husband, Damian, who teaches guitar lessons, will be homeless unless they can pay the back and current rent on their modest apartment by Friday, February 21st. Anything will help.

Rachelle is a caring and self-sacrificing person herself, who, in better times, spent 70 hours a month helping others in a volunteer work that was close to her heart.

This is a person who would give you her last dollar if you needed it. Because putting others first is what she does. I've heard her offering heartfelt, consoling words to a friend, while inside, Rachelle was trying to heal her own broken heart after a late-term miscarriage.

I know this is long, but I wanted to give you just a small glimpse into the life and heart of the person you will be helping out if you choose to donate; a beautiful and dear sister who has had more than her share of pain, both emotional and physical, but who keeps giving and will continue to do so.

She just needs a little break.
