Homeless for the Holidays

Hi, my name is Brandy Williams. I am a wife of a disabled man and mother of four children. I have three wonderful little boys, age's 2 months, 2 years old, and six years old and I have joint custody of my 14 year old daughter. (Our profile picture is from last year around the same time, our newest addition wasn't in creation just yet)) In addition to my husband being disabled, my six year old is ADHD and my two year old is just being diagnosed autistic. As you can imagine, this makes it virtually impossible for me to get a regular 9-5 job. We have been surviving off of my husband's SSI income. I'm sure most of you are aware that this isn't enough income to provide for any emergency situations.

I am starting this fundraiser in hopes that enough people will feel led to help us in this dire situation. We have lived in subsidized housing, income based housing, for the past almost two years. At our one year mark we had to recertify and at that time was placed on a month to month tenancy, is as all tenants. Well during the birth of our youngest son, who is right at two months old... Born September 25, 2017, we received an eviction notice. (Note...While still in the hospital, our son was only 3 days old) Our eviction is stated simply that since we were month to month tenants, the landlord has decided to end our tenancy at this time. I'm not going to speculate or falsely accuse anyone...... But one can't help but to wonder if losing their housing might be due to the fact that their children, whom have some disabilities, tend to be a little loud and rambunctious at times. However, in our City and State, the law states that a person may evicted for any or no reason at all when on a month to month tenancy. We tried fighting it, to no avail, of course. So my family is now facing having to be out of our home just a week after Thanksgiving and about three weeks prior to Christmas. We have been to every agency possible to try to find assistance and there just isn't any funding this time of year. There are no shelters in our city that allow children to stay, I know..... Just amazing, huh.

We are hoping and praying that we can raise enough money to at least put our family up in a hotel until we can figure out more permanent housing. It is almost impossible to find housing even with funds at this time of year.

God willing, our situation will be worked out before we end up on the streets.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read our story. A special Thank You to anyone who feels led to give a donation.

Happy Holidays from the Williams Family in Johnson City, TN.

Iam not sure what's going on with this site.... It won't accept anyone's card.....please send any donation to my PayPal account.... [email protected]
