Living with a kidney disorder has become one of the greatest challenges my son and I have ever faced. What started as mild symptoms quickly turned into a daily battle with unpredictable hospital visits, exhausting treatments, and overwhelming uncertainty about the future. This journey has taken a huge toll on our lives, especially since I am the sole caregiver and provider for my son.

Because of my condition, I have been in and out of the hospital numerous times, sometimes for days or weeks at a time. These hospital stays are physically and emotionally draining, not just for me but for my son as well. Each time I’m admitted, my son’s routine is disrupted, and I worry constantly about how all of this will affect him. We strive to stay positive, but the reality is that the road to managing this illness is long and filled with ongoing medical appointments, treatments, and uncertainty.

My kidney disorder has made it impossible for me to maintain regular work. Being unable to work means our financial situation has become very fragile. Everyday expenses like rent, utilities, groceries, and medication payments are becoming harder to cover. While the medical bills pile up, I am also trying to create a stable, loving environment for my son despite all the hardship we face.
