Hope For Kids Leadrshp Academy
Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to read this! My name is Jarrett Karner and I'm currently a junior at Quince Orchard High School. I've been accepted to the Hope for Kids Leadership Academy (HFKLA), this summer and even though it's last minute, I am absolutely excited to attend this life changing event.
HFKLA is a 5 week faith-based summer program. My session will run from July 3 to August 3. During these 5 weeks I will:
-Attend a Ministry Training Academy to further my biblical knowledge.
-Mentor children in Philadelphia's inner city that I've developed relationships with the previous year
-Work at the Hope For Kids camp in Pennsylvania; either as a counselor or a crew member.
In addition to saving my money, I am asking some friends and family to help me out with the fees. Checks can be made out to Jarrett Karner. I will take pictures and give you an update after HFKLA.
What I'm planning to get out of these five life changing weeks is growing closer to God and trying to find which path I want to take. I think this will help me realize my need for God through positive friendships and spiritual role models to help guide me with my walk with God.
Any donations big or small will be really appreciated. I'm also willing to work for it so please contact me if you need anything. Thank you so much for helping me to go to this incredible opportunity and experience:).
Sincerely,
Jarrett Karner
