Hope for Rhonda Roe
To put it simply, Mrs. Roe is struggling and we don't have the financial means to support her ourselves. She is the mother of my best friend (Sophie), so I'm creating this fundraiser on her behalf. Rhonda does NOT know I am doing this. If we could surprise her, with even with half the amount requested, maybe it will raise her faith for a little longer? She is an unbelievably caring woman, who has recently lost two of the most important people to her, and has nearly lost all hope because of it. We just want to make her final years not so terrible.
Rhonda was the soul care taker of her eldest daughter, until her own health (dying pacemaker and edema in her legs) made things too difficult. After a few months of being checked into a care facility, her daughter became incredibly ill from a missed sepsis diagnosis. She was very close in age to myself, so it was such a shock. Only days before, we had all been sharing Christmas gifts with her to cheer her up at the care facility... and then she was gone after the new year.
Mrs. Roe's husband also suddenly died of a heart attack last month. Laid out on the concrete, just a large blanket over his body.
Back to back losses like this has taken a mental toll on her. She didn't even have the means to collect the ashes of either of them. We have no idea what happened to either of their remains to this day.
I have offered to help by at least letting Rhonda park her RV in front of my home so she will be close with her remaining family member, Sophie. But gas pricing being what it is, it's very hard to drive something like that. Unfortunately we do not have the financial means to help her ourselves. Despite actively looking for jobs, I'm only an unemployed full time student, while her youngest daughter is a part time worker making less than $100 a week most of the time.
Please help us make her just a little more comfortable before her own time is up, too.
