Hope for the Homeless
Being homeless has hit home for me. I was evicted and have been living in my car at the local park for a month now. During this time I have grown to have empathy for other homeless people. These people are homeless for a wide plethora of reasons. Some lost their home, some have addictions, some lost their job, but most have lost their hope of overcoming their circumstances. That's what I would like to give them. They first off have to believe that it is possible to overcome being thrown away by society. I''ve seen them in the many cities I have lived. I've seen them on TV. I've seen them desperate for someone to help them. If I can only make a small difference and give these people hope that they can overcome their circumstances then I have succeeded. I fall back on the scripture "give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime". I have been given many skills and abilities that I can share and I feel good when I help someone, it is priceless. I want to go to the cities that are becoming overrun with homelessness, more everyday. Humble yourself before the Lord and you will receive His blessings. I am blessed with hope for a better world. Without hope everyone is lost. Without hope nothing changes. I hope you will realize that you can make a difference in so many peoples lives by giving them hope. Hope is where it all starts. May God bless you all. Thank you.
