On Saturday, March 21st, at approximately 1 pm, a devastating fire swept through my friend's house, causing a total loss of everything, including the house. Only one of them was home, asleep at the time, and woke with only moments to spare to get out. He was wearing no shoes or glasses and couldn’t even take a moment to save their pet cats.

The immediate needs are for shelter and a place to live. All household items were lost, including clothing, furnishings, food, kitchenware, bedding, laundry supplies, and personal hygiene items—as well as medications, eyeglasses, personal documents, and ID. A lifetime of memories and hard-earned belongings, gone in an instant.
