House fire takes it all
On December 16th, our family's world was flipped upside down as we stood and watched our home go up in flames. We are remaining positive and counting our blessings because every person and pet that resides in our home are safe and sound, but every piece of clothing, every toy, every keepsake, and every Christmas present went us in smoke. It felt so surreal, we have only began to realize what all we lost. While the kids still had a great Christmas, thanks to many family members, friends, and strangers, we can't help but to be saddened by our loss and concerned about starting from scratch.
Every donation, big or small, has and will continue to be a blessing to our family as we now begin the process of replacing belongings, finding a new home, and restoring our normal lives...we thank you in advance for any contributions.
We also would like to thank Jackson (age 12) for making sure his little sister (age 9) got out safely and then for waking mommy up and alerting dad. Also thank you Alexis (little sister) for yelling for our family dog, Pico. Without them, this terrible situation could have been so much worse...next we would like to give a direct thank you to our children's school for taking the initiative to keep the other kids off the bus once new of the fire hit and take precautions to keep them safe and finally we would like to thank all first responders, fire fights, and ems crew who helped take care of our family that day.
