Hi All! As many of you know, I experienced a stroke last Monday, causing weakness on my left side. As a result I am unable to work, and won't be able to for about a month. I am asking that if you feel lead to help it would be such a blessing to my mom and I. Last Monday I was talking to my friend Denise Harlon, and she noticed my words were starting to become slurred, and suggested I check my blood pressure. When I checked it it was 194/127, and she immediately told me to call 911. Before I could I collapsed, and when I got to the hospital the stroke was in full force. I was completely paralyzed on my left side, and could not talk very well. I received what is called the TPA treatment, which can reverse all or most effects of a stroke if given within 4 hours after. Most of my symptoms have gone, however some weakness on my left side has decided to be a little stubborn. With physical therapy my doctor is confident I will make a full recovery. Whatever you can give to help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. This is a very hard place to be in.
