Over the past year, Silas has spent more time asking us about going to a mission trip with our church. Last year, our church went to Hungary and this year, they are returning. July 19-27, the church will be taking 13 members out to Hungary. Silas and Richard have been approved to go on this trip as well. The church is sending a team to Hungary to help lead a camp for 10 to 14 year-olds with Word of Life:Hungary. (https://www.wolhungary.org/)

They will be working through translators to share the Gospel through teaching English, sports, and drama. Word of Life is a Missions partner of Rhea's Mill and does a great job of not just sharing the Gospel through summer camps for youth, but in training pastors and serving Ukrainian refugees.

This trip will provide an opportunity to meet the physical and spiritual needs of a community that is desperately in need. Less than 22 percent of Hungarians attend any type of church. More than 44% of Hungarians say that they do not affiliate with ANY religion. There is a great opportunity to share the Gospel and the government is friendly to mission work. We are excited about the opportunity we have to make a difference for the cause of Christ in a strategic location spiritually.

Silas and Richard have been blessed to have most of trip funded through church donations. However, we need some help with the remaining funds. More than anything, we would value your prayers for our team and those whose lives will be touched by God through us. I believe that God answers prayers, and I'm asking you to pray for safety, good health, smooth travel, and financial support. Just knowing that you will be praying will offer peace as we go into an unfamiliar place.

On top of this, we are paying for expedited passports which is $274.53 per passport for Silas and Richard and a small amount for any food during travel.
