It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dave Hunter—a devoted husband, loving father, proud Papa, loyal friend, and proud native of Joelton, Tennessee.

Dave dedicated his life to serving his country and pushing the boundaries of aviation. From his time in the military to his career as a Flight Test Engineer with L3 Communications, Dave approached everything he did with precision, integrity, and a deep sense of duty.

While Dave’s professional legacy in aviation was profound, his greatest pride and joy was always his family. He was the anchor of his home, a loving partner to his wife, and the ultimate "Papa" to his grandchildren.

How You Can Help

Because Dave’s passing was unexpected, his family is facing immediate financial hurdles to gather together to celebrate his life, manage their household, and navigate the path ahead. All funds raised through this campaign will be shared evenly among the family to support them in two critical ways:

1. Bringing His Family Together for the Celebration of Life

Dave’s family is spread across the globe, and bringing everyone together to honor him is a significant financial undertaking:

* His daughter and four grandchildren need to travel from Germany.

* His son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter need to travel from California.

2. Supporting His Wife and Household

Beyond travel expenses, funds will go directly to supporting Dave’s mourning wife, as well as his daughter, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter who lived with him in the family home. The funds will help cover immediate financial impacts, unexpected home expenses, and ongoing household needs during this difficult transition.
