Rascal's Medical Fund

This is Rascal. He's a seven year old male tabby with a life threatening heart condition and the love of my life. I adopted him when he was just a baby from a high kill shelter in the local area. I was told he was feral, unsure and unpredictable around people, and unfit to be homed; especially for first time cat owners. I didn't listen to them, and I am so glad I did. He fell asleep on my chest when I took him out of his cage, and the rest is history. They could not have been any more wrong about him. One of the most affectionate and loving animals I've ever met, he's brought me nothing but joy in the seven years I've had him. He is one of my registered Emotional Support Animals and a huge part of my life.

Up until a a year and a half ago, he had no health problems and was generally very healthy. Then, out of the blue, he developed Congestive Heart Failure and nearly died. He was extremely young to have developed it, and it took a huge toll on him. He has since beaten the odds, and pulled through, but will never be fully recovered. He is at risk of developing it again at anytime and is on several medications to manage it. The typical life expectancy after the diagnosis is 6 months to a year and a half, but he is up to almost 2 full years and is as active and loving as ever. During this time however, he's had multiple stints in the hospital for relapses but always recovered exceptionally well. Unfortunately though, these trips have price tags, and they've built up pretty quickly and significantly.

I know he has a lot of life left in him to give, and I don't want a lack of money to be the reason I lose him. I treat every day I have with him like it's the last, but I don't feel that way and want to be able to relax and enjoy the time I have with him. I am asking for any amount of help to at least get me up to date with the vet bills he has amassed. I want to thank you all for your help and generous support for me and my baby <3
