Hey everybody! My name is Dylan, and I could really use your help getting a power wheelchair for myself! Let me tell you a bit about myself. I like long walks on the beach, swimming in the ocean searching for mermaids, running cross country, searching for buried treasure, or......I would if I was able to!

Unfortunately I'm disabled with a variety of chronic illnesses, including arthritis, fibromyalgia, and a condition called Functional Neurological Disorder. FND affects the functioning of my brain, and how it communicates with my entire body. It causes issues like fully body paralysis, leg paralysis, seizures, blurred vision, catatonia, vocal and motor tics, chronic fatigue, and a lot more.

This makes it very difficult and sometimes dangerous for me to go out anywhere on my own, even just grocery shopping, going to the doctor, or something as simple as going for a walk. Because of this, my quality of life is poor. I'm not able to socialize or do basically anything on my own without the risk of ending up in the hospital.

Having a power wheelchair would open up worlds for me. I would be able to go out and about without a huge risk of ending up in the hospital because the wheelchair would let me get around without walking, and would reduce the fatigue considerably. I would be able to enjoy walks again, grocery shopping, going to the park, being outside with my dog, and so many other things! My quality of life would be much better, and I'd be able to be more independent and not have to rely on people going everywhere with me.
