I'm dying to have a car
I'm 24 years old and just graduated with a masters degree, I've been in school nonstop. I'm currently applying to 25+ jobs per day just waiting on the call for an interview, I've even reached out to recruiters. COVID has made life even more challenging especially with employment. I've always been a hard worker and hard working student even though I didn't always have even necessities. I spent my entire college education taking 6 buses a day to work and school, and walking to transfer, it's exhausting. I want a break, some relief, so bad.
I've never owned a car and I walk everywhere. I can barely walk around my apartment at the end of the day because my feet hurt so bad, I have to take baths almost every night just to stop the pain. I have arthritis in both of my feet already at my age. I work my butt off and I have some money saved but I don't think I can even get a point A-B car at this point. I have $2000 saved, if I had Roughly $1500 more I could do so, I could get a decently used car.
It's so hard walking 24/7 with jugs of water or bags of groceries in the blazing heat. I do what I can't but it never seems like it's enough. I know I'll have a great job soon, but I can't even get to work without transportation let alone get a job, I don't have an adequate public transit system where I live. A car would be the gateway to everything I need especially employment because the best paying jobs are 45 mins away. I'm so tired. I can barely sleep at night it just weighs so heavy on my mind. I really need help or even just a prayer.
