Hello to friends, family and more. I am Kylene Hernandez, and I am writing this on behalf of my family and my amazing grandfather Ernesto also known as our Lalo. Many didn't know this but my grandpa was diagnosed with Lung cancer in September. Even before then we had been going through a long journey of diagnosing what finally presented itself as Lung cancer. Since then he had battling hard and made it through things we thought weren't possible. Things got better but it was a bumpy and hard road regardless. He went through weeks of radiation and had two rounds of chemotherapy. He was a fighter, and he wanted to do it all until his last breath, but in the end he was already in a lot of pain and wanted to come home. Everyone was hopeful he would beat this even the doctors were surprised and astonished with everything he went through and was still here. All those who met him in the hospitals we were at loved him and said he was a joy. That's exactly what he was a joy, a light, the strongest person I will ever know. It saddens me to say my grandpa was called by the Lord today 12/10/23 and tragically passed away in our home. I make this hoping to receive any help from friends, family and more to help us complete his last wishes which included being being flown back to El Salvador where my grandmother and him made their arrangements if either of them passed. This will obviously not be financially easy and so any help would be greatly appreciated and it would mean the absolute world to us. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
