I never thought I would be writing this about myself, but here I am. This feels very awkward, but this is my story.

I work in the healthcare industry where I locate resources for those in need. I'm a single mother of two awesome kiddos; a 16 year old daughter and a 7 year old son. Two years ago, our world was turned upside down when my daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy. I had to stop working for quite a while, homeschool the children for close monitoring, and live off of savings until her seizures became controlled. I also found work from home and these changes made a positive difference in her care. However, when it became time to move, financial difficulty landed us in the basement of an Airbnb where we still reside.

Then, once again, another life changing event occurred. Shortly after moving into the Airbnb, I was diagnosed with inoperable cervical cancer. My immediate fear was my children would become my caregivers and that I wouldn't survive. Five of my family members and a friend of mine lost their lives to cancer; my mother being one. I cared for her until she passed in 2021. I don't want their story to be mine nor my children's.

It's very important at this time for me to seek care for this cancer at Envita in Arizona where the treatments are incredibly less invasive by utilizing the latest technologies, because I still need to be able to care for my children. I have looked into charities and organizations to help cover expenses. I'm currently seeking your help or anyone you may know that can help me raise funds for my treatment plan as I've exhausted other avenues.

This word "cancer" is negatively affecting so many people.....and this has to change. Scientists are working diligently to eradicate this killer, and when I am healed, I WILL create a charity to assist those in similar situations.
