Outside of Self...

I have a heart to help. I had a father and daughter come to me for food at our pantry. As I was getting them set up, the father Colton began asking me about volunteering his help. He says "I want to be intentional about getting outside myself; and help others. I have a lot of skills, but I'm stuck".

Colton has been a victim of abuse, a loner, but is ready to leave it behind for his sake, his daughters' and others.

I have asked him for help a lot. He is a phenomenal helper, always ahead of you to do the next thing. Really takes a load off of a very busy schedule with our community based endeavors. After much time watching him, I decided to ask him what it would take to get him more involved. He says "I only need a way to get here". We live in a very rural food desert that has a very hard time finding willing, able, and dependable help.

They live 45 minutes from us, so this is a legitimate problem. I wish I had the funds to furnace him a vehicle, I would do it in a minute. If we can get help to get him a vehicle, insurance and get him on the road that would be amazing. He would be able to help with our pantry and non-profit community project. This can help so many more people outside himself.
