itty bitty house
I'm building a small house, an itty bitty home, little but not tiny... ok its a tiny house.
I explored many options like purchasing a property but I couldn't be approved for a big enough loan since I'm a self employed artist. Rent is totally inaccessible for a lot of people recently, as I'm sure I don't have to tell you. Building my own portable house feels so good. This is the housing security I need to be able to be free to focus on art and joy and songs. I am parking my house in a place that is relatively safe from natural disaster - which feels wildly important to me after my experience with gulf coast hurricanes. My friends are thrilled to host me and my home on their farm and I'm in total bliss getting to hang out with the cows and Helen the morgan horse. Mudbug and Pickle (my dogs) love it here too. They have all the groundhog nemesis they could ever dream of. We are so very lucky.
It feels weird to ask for help with this... weirder than asking for help to realize a creative project like an album. I have saved enough to cover a lot of the cost but really need a boost.
A few dear friends have loaned me funds that I will be paying back over time. If a loan is a more comfortable option for you, get in touch with me. zoeboekbinder at gmail
I'm not offering any physical rewards because I'm going to be highly consumed with the process of building this house. If you feel able to contribute to this dream, I will reward you with my deep gratitude.
