HELP US HAVE A BABY!
OUR STORY
Hi, we're Brittany, Jason, and Dawson Peiffer. Thank you for being here and reading and sharing our story!

In 2016, we were beyond blessed with a little boy on October 22! It was a tough road up until that point as we struggled with infertility for several years before being able to get pregnant.
I struggle with PCOS or Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome which is a genetic, hormone, metabolic, and reproductive disorder (yeah, no fun). PCOS causes infertility and many other lifelong daily issues including anxiety and depression, small cysts in the ovaries, irregular periods, and low energy - all of which I have suffered from. Being diagnosed with PCOS in 2012 when I started dating my husband was beyond devastating. It's been my hope and dream to have a large family of my own since I was a little girl and I never thought I would not be able to have that. I've had many hard days where I felt like a failure and hated that my body couldn't function the way it was supposed to but I've never given up on the thought of having the family I've always wanted.

Jason has also suffered from Insulin dependent Type 1 diabetes since his 5th Birthday which also contributes to our infertility struggles. However, under a doctor's care and guidance, multiple procedures, diet, and medications for PCOS, we were thrilled and grateful to discover we were finally expecting and had our little boy in October of 2016!
Fast forward to 2017 and we were ready to try for baby #2! So we tried and then 2017 became 2018. And 2018 became 2019. And 2019 became 2020. We went through the same process that we went through in 2016 but we were just not seeing any results. Feeling completely defeated, exhausted, and frustrated with the process, we sought out a fertility doctor and got additional tests done. It turns out we have a very small chance of getting pregnant naturally again.
Although this was very tough for us to learn, we are still hopeful that we'll be able to expand our family and give Dawson a sibling. For anyone who's struggled with infertility, know that you are not alone! This journey has been extremely difficult and emotionally draining and we hope that IVF is the answer for us.
DOCTORS AND IVF
With the help of an amazing group of doctors, we now have the opportunity to do In Vitro Fertilization, more commonly known as IVF. This is our only option at this point to expand our family. IVF is going to be an emotionally challenging and lengthy process that includes medications, injections, medical procedures, and a lot of waiting and hoping! It's terrifying and stressful but we remain hopeful that this will work!
SUPPORT
IVF is so costly at $16,000 - $20,000. Unfortunately, insurance will not cover any of the process or medications. We are reaching out for support during this time to help us expand our family and give Dawson a little brother (or sister!). Asking friends and family for support in this manner is not something that is easy for us, as we pride ourselves as being hard-working and independent when it comes to many things we have accomplished in our lives. However, your support in helping us obtain our dream is not something that we can ever thank you enough for. Even if you aren't able to donate, please know that we appreciate any love and emotional support you can offer us. If you share our story with others, that is also helping!
