Jacey Burdine has been battling congestive heart failure for many years. Recently, his health took a turn for the worse, and his condition has progressed. He will require a heart transplant. He underwent surgery to install a LVAD (left ventricular assist device) and now faces a long journey to recovery. Jacey is expected to be in the hospital at least a month and will require around the clock care for the foreseeable future. His wife, Audra, will be his caretaker and will be unable to work during this transition. They have three kids at home - Addelyn, Jacob, and Arabella.
