My border collie Jackson has cataracts so he cannot see very well. I use hand signals with my dogs and Jackson no longer sees them, he only comes when he hears my voice. I took him to a veterinarian and the Dr. confirmed that he has cataracts. The cost to have them removed, confirmed by the vet, is $10,000.00. Only performed in Boise, ID, two hours drive from where I live. I had his blood work done in the event he was diabetic, but the blood work came out normal. He can no longer chase cows because he doesn't see them. I am fundraising because I am retired and do not have the funds necessary to have the surgery for him.
