Hey there! My name is Jade and I am a 28 year old single mom that resides in Gainesville, FL. As a single mother bills have always been tight, but since leaving my abusive ex husband in 2022 I have been struggling to make ends meet. As a result I ended up racking up a large amount of credit card debt, since I had to use them to make ends meet. I am currently still struggling just to meet my monthly and weekly bills (i.e. aftercare, rent, electricity, car note, etc.). The big difference now is that I am having to find a way to make my credit card and loan payments on top of my usual bills. My head is barely above water and I can only pick and choose what bills I can pay for so long before things start getting cut off or put into collections.
