He attended Clark Atlanta University, where he studied chemistry and became part of a community connected by education, ambition, friendship, and shared experiences. His time at CAU and his commitment to chemistry remain an important part of his story.
The James Earl Jones Jr. Memorial Scholarship was created to honor his life by supporting future chemistry majors at Clark Atlanta University.
Beginning in Fall 2027, the scholarship will provide financial support to students who demonstrate academic commitment, perseverance, leadership, financial need, and a strong dedication to continuing their education in chemistry.
This campaign creates an opportunity for family, friends, alumni, and supporters to help increase the amount available to students in James’s name.
The current fundraising goal is $5,000.
The purpose of this scholarship is to make sure James’s name continues to have a meaningful presence at Clark Atlanta University.
