The Diagnosis:

Esthesioneuroblastoma (es-thee-zee-o-noo-row-blas-TOE-muh), also is called olfactory neuroblastoma, “is a rare type of cancer that starts in the upper part of the inside of the nose” (Mayo Clinic). James and Holly were told by his oncologist that cases are 1 in 2.5 million worldwide, which we also found noted by the National Cancer Institute and the Cleveland Clinic.
